Control Center Operations

The Safety Control Center is a vital part of the Safety Department. With schools increasingly vulnerable to crime and violence, the center provides a central hub of communications.Dispatchers receive and relay information to District Patrol Officers on a variety of incidents such as crime activity, truancy, missing and out of control students, bus accidents, and the majority of reports involving students, staff and/or facilities.

The center monitors’ intrusion detection alarms, access control, fire alarms, CCTV (closed circuit television), and software analytics as part of RUSD’s comprehensive security plan.  The Control Center provides safety, support and most of all security to all students, parents/guardians, staff and community members.  Remember to dial 911 if you have a life or death emergency.  For immediate school safety assistance, contact the Safety Control Center Dispatch at (909) 820-6892.
