Campus Officers


The Rialto Unified Campus Safety Officers (CSO’s) perform a variety of campus security functions including but not limited to, prevention, observation and reporting.  CSO’s are required to have basic POST 1 certification, baton training and SB-1626 certification.  State law requires security guards in K-12 school districts to complete a SB-1626 course.  All officers are trained in roles and responsibilities of a school safety officer, security awareness in an educational environment, disaster and emergency preparedness, laws and liability, mediation/conflict resolution, dynamics of student behavior, parking, traffic control and more.
